Quantum Light is looking for a world-class AI Researcher with a quantitative trading background to join a newly forming team. This is a foundational hire: you will lead our AI research on developing a quantitative investment strategy for VC.

What You'll Do

  • Bring deep technical expertise in AI training — including model architecture, training schedule, objective functions, use of RL, etc.
  • Critically evaluate and improve our existing pipeline.
  • Apply your quant trading background to develop new sources of signal for VC.
  • Build out AI quant research function as it scales.

Must-have

  • Track record of training complex neural networks for production — not just fine-tuning or applying pre-trained weights.
  • Quantitative trading or research background.
  • Good understanding of PyTorch internals, GPU architecture, quantization, performance tuning, etc.
  • Great knowledge of modern neural network architectures.

Nice-to-have

  • Track record of developing alphas that make money in a hedge fund.
  • Experience with mid-frequency and cross-sectional trading strategies.
  • Technical leadership skills.
