We are seeking compassionate, patient, and experienced tutors to provide personalised 1:1 support for children and young people who are unable to access mainstream education due to their individual needs or circumstances.

This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a lasting difference by helping learners rebuild confidence, develop key skills, and re‑engage with education through tailored tuition.

About the Role As a Specialist SEND Tutor, you will work with primary and secondary‑aged pupils (5‑16 years) who have been referred through Somerset Council's Alternative Provision arrangements.

Every learner is unique, and sessions are carefully planned to meet their academic, emotional, and social needs.

Many pupils require a flexible, nurturing approach that focuses on building trust and engagement before academic progress can be achieved.
