Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and dynamic RE lessons to students aged 11-18.

Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with the curriculum, encouraging critical thinking and reflection.

Foster an inclusive and respectful classroom environment that celebrates diversity and promotes understanding of world religions and ethical perspectives.

Assess, monitor, and report on students’ progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.

Collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-curricular learning opportunities.

Participate in school events, assemblies, and extracurricular activities related to RE or pastoral care.

Uphold the school’s values and ethos, contributing positively to the wider school community.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialization in Religious Education or a related subject.

A degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Education, or a relevant discipline.

Strong knowledge of the RE curriculum and the ability to teach to GCSE and A-Level standards.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for inspiring young learners.

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people (successful applicants will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check).

Previous experience teaching RE is desirable but not essential; newly qualified teachers are welcome to apply., * Secondary Education
