The Finance team is growing. We're looking for a Management Accountant to join us in London, reporting to the Financial Controller. This role brings the management accounting and analytical capacity to meet the challenges of a recent acquisition, growth across three legal entities, and the departure of a finance business partner.
You’ll own recurring reporting and reconciliations end to end, turn month end numbers into insight the business acts on, and create room for the Financial Controller to focus on commercial and strategic priorities. Within a year you’ll run core month end independently and be the person the wider business trusts for a straight answer on the numbers.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare management accounts and month end reporting across all Quantum entities.
- Own balance sheet reconciliations and assigned recurring reporting end to end.
- Investigate variances, find the root cause and resolve discrepancies, producing analysis the business can act on.
- Build and improve reporting, reconciliation and control processes, including automation that reduces manual effort and strengthens controls.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and cashflow, and contribute to strategic finance initiatives as you grow into the role.
- Act as a trusted point of contact for finance queries and analysis across finance and the wider business.
- Take clear ownership of core responsibilities to reduce key person dependency within the function.
About You
- Qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) preferred. We will also consider candidates who are part qualified or qualified by experience with solid management accounting experience.
- Experience preparing management accounts, running month end and owning balance sheet reconciliations.
- Good analytical instincts; you investigate variances, find the root cause and resolve discrepancies rather than just flagging them.
- Confident working with Excel to an advanced level including data analysis, modeling and reporting.
- Able to manage multiple priorities at pace without compromising on accuracy or attention to detail.
- You do your best work as part of a team and enjoy contributing to a collaborative environment.
- Comfortable navigating a fast paced and ever changing environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A genuine desire to learn, grow, and lift others around you.
- Multi-entity accounting experience and exposure to budgeting, forecasting, cashflow and working capital.
- A background in digital marketing, technology, SaaS or a high growth environment.
- A track record of process improvement or finance automation.
- Exposure to project appraisal, business cases or investment analysis and software development capitalisation principles.
- Familiarity with Xero, Tableau, Google Workspace, G-Accon and AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT.
What You’ll Get
- Private Health Care (Bupa).
- Hybrid Working (3 days in office).
- Travel Insurance.
- Competitive Base Salary.
- Company Bonus Scheme.
- Paid for AI Subscription (Claude / ChatGPT / Gemini).
- Market-Leading Training Programme.
- Recognition & Reward Scheme.
- Annual Company Conference.
- Regular Happy Hours & Team Lunches.
- Free Coffee, Drinks & Snacks.
