We are looking for a Senior Quantum Engineer to lead the design and execution of experiments on multi‑qubit silicon devices, contribute to the development of scalable quantum computing systems, and help optimise our cryogenic infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and execute experiments on multi‑qubit silicon devices, focusing on high‑frequency, low‑noise signal acquisition.
  • Support the architectural design of scalable silicon‑based quantum computing systems.
  • Assist in commissioning and optimisation of cryogenic infrastructure, including dilution refrigerator setups, for quantum device testing.
  • Write and maintain software tools for measurement automation and data analysis.
  • Perform rigorous analysis of experimental results to support internal decision‑making and technical manuscripts.

Qualifications

  • Ph D degree in physics, engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in characterisation of nanoelectronic devices.
  • Proficiency with Python.
  • Expertise in radiofrequency or microwave electronics.
  • Ability to independently design and carry out complex experiments, perform data analysis, and prepare technical reports and presentations.
  • Strong collaborative approach with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Inquisitive nature and logical problem‑solving skills.
  • Experimental experience with semiconductor quantum dots.
  • Experience in developing software interfaces to hardware/instrumentation.
  • Experience leading research teams.
