The Role Our Finance team is growing. We're looking for a Finance Analyst to join our team in London, reporting to the Financial Controller and working closely with the Management Accountant and the Accounts Receivable and Payable teams. Following a recent acquisition and continued growth across multiple legal entities, this role adds operational and reporting capacity to keep the function running smoothly. In this role you will own member payment processing and assigned reconciliations, support month end and recurring reporting, and flex across finance operations to keep processes accurate, efficient and scalable. Within a year you will run your reconciliations, payment runs and reporting independently, deliver process improvements, and be a dependable, multi-disciplinary member of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Process member payment runs accurately and on schedule, within established financial controls
- Own assigned bank, balance sheet and transactional reconciliations across all entities
- Support month end activities and recurring reporting with growing independence
- Provide reliable support to the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams during busy periods
- Investigate discrepancies and resolve them within established financial controls
- Identify and implement improvements to reporting, controls and finance processes, including automation that reduces manual effort
- Build effective working relationships across the Finance team and wider stakeholders
About You
- Experience in a finance, accounting, finance analyst or assistant management accountant role
- Good reconciliation skills across bank, balance sheet or transactional reconciliations
- Experience processing financial transactions accurately within established financial controls
- Confident working with financial data and comfortable using Excel to a good standard
- A strong eye for detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities at pace
- You do your best work as part of a team and enjoy contributing to a collaborative environment
- Comfortable navigating a fast paced and ever changing environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A genuine desire to learn, grow, and lift others around you
- AAT qualified or studying towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- Month end support or management accounts exposure
- Member or customer payment processing experience
- Experience working across multi-entity environments
- Budgeting and forecasting exposure
- Interest in or experience with finance automation
- Familiarity with Xero, Tableau or AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT
