Durham University’s Quantum Light & Matter group invites an experimental postdoctoral researcher to join Dr Tobias Franzen’s team. The role focuses on an EPSRC-funded project to couple arrays of single ytterbium atoms with optical cavities, enabling quantum networking over telecom fibres.
The initial appointment is 24 months with potential extension; international applicants are encouraged and eligible for the Visa Reimbursement Scheme. Start date is flexible; closing date 15 November 2026.
