Role Overview
Quantum Science (QS) has an exciting new opportunity for a Production Chemist who is looking to start career in advanced material industry. The candidate will have excellent training and development opportunities and take a pivotal role in the process development and production of colloidal quantum dots (CQDs) and other advanced nanomaterials for optoelectronic applications.

Main tasks and responsibility
- Plan and develop safe and cost-effective manufacturing processes for colloidal quantum dots in large reactors , scaling up from lab to full-scale commercial process meeting material demand of industrial partners and contractors in timely manner.
- Provide technical solutions and troubleshoot manufacturing issues based on the safety protocols and environmental and regulatory requirements to ensure best products at pilot and industrial production scale.
- Assess the equipment and facilities during the scale-up process including the maintenance schedules and overall equipment effectiveness to ensure an efficient utilization of the resources.
- Work closely with R&D and scale up team members for tech transfer from R&D to pilot plan and/or full-scale manufacturing.
- Carry out the continual optimisation & development of the existing & new product lines to ensure their best quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide and document all SOP for manufacturing processes and testing techniques for existing and new products.
- Provide written reports covering undertaken work in timely manner.
Skills And Experience
- Bachelor or MSc degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, material science or similar discipline.
- Laboratory experience in nanomaterial synthesis and characterization would be advantageous.
- 1 year of industrial experience in multi-stage process development, setting up reactors and manufacturing lines and scaling up products, particularly colloidal quantum dots and nanomaterials is
- Confident with a practical hands-on approach in the lab and excellent self-starter as well as dedicated-team member
- Flexibility and willingness to work in a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and people skills.

- All samples are sent to QS teams and customers in a timely manner.
- Identify needed equipment and carry out procurement if necessary.
