SEND Maths Tutor - Somerset Location: Somerset Subject: Maths Phase: Secondary Working arrangement: In-person Quantum Scholars is looking for a dedicated, patient and experienced SEND Maths Tutor to provide tailored one-to-one support to a student in Somerset. This is an in-person tutoring role, supporting a young person who requires a personalised approach to their education outside of a traditional classroom setting. The successful tutor will be responsible for delivering engaging and accessible Maths sessions that are adapted to the student's individual learning needs, abilities and interests. The role will require someone who is confident working with pupils who may have additional learning needs and who can create a calm, supportive and encouraging learning environment. The tutor will work closely with the student's existing education team and, where appropriate, parents or carers to help establish clear learning goals and monitor progress. Sessions should be structured but flexible, allowing the tutor to respond to the student's needs on a lesson-by-lesson basis while continuing to work towards meaningful academic and personal outcomes. The ideal tutor will: Have experience teaching or tutoring Maths across secondary level. Have previous experience working with SEND pupils, ideally in a one-to-one or small-group setting.
