Quantum Scholars are seeking qualified teachers and experienced tutors to deliver one-to-one EOTAS tuition to pupils in and around Wokingham who are currently outside of mainstream education. We are looking for tutors who can support primary and/or secondary-aged students, depending on experience and placement needs. This opportunity is well suited to educators looking to move away from the demands of full-class teaching and into flexible, part-time work, while continuing to make a meaningful impact through personalised, relationship-led support. Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Role Overview

  • Deliver 1-to-1 tuition under EOTAS provision across Wokingham
  • Work with primary and/or secondary students
  • Sessions may take place on school sites or in agreed off-site settings
  • Ongoing work available until at least September and likely beyond
  • Flexible hours based on student need

Student Profile

Pupils may present with a range of needs, including SEMH, anxiety, school refusal, behavioural challenges, or previous exclusion, and require a calm, consistent and structured approach.

Tuition May Involve

  • Core subject support (English, Maths, Science or Humanities)
  • Literacy and numeracy development
  • GCSE preparation where appropriate
  • Confidence-building and re-engagement with learning

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status preferred, or strong tutoring experience
  • Ability to support primary and/or secondary students
  • Enhanced DBS (Update Service preferred)
  • Ability to travel locally
  • Experience within EOTAS, SEMH, or alternative provision settings highly advantageous

Pay rate dependent on experience and qualifications.
