We are seeking committed one-to-one English tutors, ideally qualified teachers, to provide off-site educational support to students in and around the Wokingham area. This role is ideal for teachers or experienced English specialists who are looking to move away from a full classroom setting and into flexible, part-time tuition, while still making a positive impact on individual learners.
About the Role
- One-to-one English tuition for primary and secondary students
- Off-site teaching within the local Wokingham area
- Start date in February, with work available until at least September and likely to continue beyond
- Working hours may vary depending on student needs
- Tutors will work closely with and report to our SENDCo
Subject Focus & Student Needs
- The role focuses on supporting English and literacy development, including:
- Reading, writing, and comprehension skills
- Spelling, grammar, and sentence structure
- Functional literacy and confidence-building support
Requirements
- Ideally a qualified teacher or an experienced English tutor
- Right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available)
- Enhanced DBS certificate (Update Service preferred)
- Access to a car and ability to travel locally (highly desirable)
- Experience working with SEN and/or SEMH students is beneficial
Pay
- Competitive pay in line with classroom teacher rates
- Pay rate dependent on experience and qualifications
