Quantum Scholars are currently looking for dedicated and supportive individuals to provide 1:1 SEND tuition and mentoring support to young people in Ross-on-Wye and surrounding areas. Many of the pupils requiring support are currently outside of mainstream education and may face challenges linked to SEND, SEMH, autism, anxiety, behavioural needs, trauma, medical needs, or school avoidance. This is highly rewarding work for people who want to make a meaningful impact by helping vulnerable young people rebuild confidence, engagement, and trust in education.
Who We’re Looking For
- Experience in teaching or teaching assistance
- Youth work or mentoring
- SEND, pastoral, or behavioural support
- Alternative provision or PRU settings
- Coaching or therapeutic support roles
We are especially interested in individuals who are calm, patient, reliable, and able to build positive relationships with young people.
About the Role
- Deliver 1:1 tuition and mentoring support to primary and secondary-aged pupils
- Provide support tailored to both educational and emotional needs
- Sessions may take place in homes, schools, community settings, online, or through hybrid arrangements
