Quantum Scholars is working with a highly regarded secondary school in Southampton in their search for an inspiring and dedicated Sociology Teacher to join their team from January 2026.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, well-structured Sociology lessons to students across KS3 and KS4
- Plan, prepare, and assess students’ work in line with the national curriculum
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive
- Develop students’ critical thinking, analytical, and debating skills
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance curriculum design and departmental success
- Take an active role in school life, including pastoral care and extra-curricular opportunities
Requirements
- A degree in Sociology or a closely related discipline
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification
- A genuine passion for Sociology and the ability to inspire curiosity and enthusiasm in learners
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Proven experience teaching Sociology at KS3 and KS4
