Quantum Scholars are looking for caring, reliable and experienced Primary Tutors to support primary-aged children across Somerset. We work with children and young people who may be educated other than at school, awaiting a suitable placement, or in need of additional personalised support. Tuition is usually delivered on a 1:1 basis and may take place in the child's home, in the community, or online depending on the individual referral. We are particularly interested in tutors who can provide a nurturing, flexible and child-centred approach.
The successful tutor will be able to build positive relationships with children, adapt learning to meet individual needs, and deliver engaging sessions that support confidence, progress and re-engagement with education.
The role may involve:
- Providing 1:1 tuition for primary-aged children
- Planning and delivering personalised learning activities
- Supporting core skills such as literacy, numeracy, communication and confidence
