Quantum Scholars are currently recruiting experienced Primary Tutors to deliver 1:1, in-person tuition for pupils receiving Education Otherwise Than at School (EOTAS) provision across the London Borough of Hillingdon. Areas include Hayes, Uxbridge, Ruislip, Northwood, Ickenham, West Drayton, and surrounding locations.
As a trusted provider within Hillingdon Council's alternative provision network, we support primary-aged pupils who are not currently in mainstream education. Many of the learners we work with have additional needs, including SEND, ADHD, school refusal, autism, SEMH, behavioural challenges, or medical conditions. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to work closely with individual pupils, delivering tailored 1:1 sessions that build confidence, strengthen core academic skills, and support their transition back into education.
Sessions typically take place in the pupil's home or in a suitable community setting, with tutors responsible for planning and delivering lessons suited to each learner's needs. We are currently receiving a steady flow of referrals from the council, with tuition running across five days per week, typically around 2-3 hours per day. We are particularly interested in speaking with tutors who are available Monday to Friday and can commit to delivering approximately 2-3 hours of tuition each day.
Role Overview- Deliver 1:1 tuition to primary-aged pupils outside of mainstream education
- Flexible, part-time hours to suit your availability
- Sessions take place during school hours (between 9am and 3pm), so daytime availability is essential
- Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on pupils' progress and wellbeing
- Proven experience supporting secondary pupils with SEND, SEMH, autism, ADHD, or behavioural needs
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK (please note, sponsorship is not available)
- Ability to travel within Hillingdon for in-person sessions
Please note: Unfortunately, we are unable to offer Skilled Worker visa sponsorship, and applications requiring sponsorship will not be considered. This is a great opportunity for tutors who are passionate about making a difference, while benefiting from flexible working and the chance to deliver impactful, one-to-one support. If this role sounds of interest, please apply today and a member of our team will be in touch.
