Quantum Scholars are currently working with a forward-thinking secondary school in Southampton, who are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to start ASAP.

This is a full-time, permanent position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4, joining a supportive, well-resourced department with a collaborative and positive ethos.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Maths lessons that motivate, challenge, and inspire students
  • Plan, teach, and assess in line with the national curriculum and departmental policies
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students, including those with SEN and EAL
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback and adapting teaching strategies as required
  • Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour in line with the school's positive behaviour policy
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and departmental initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Maths department and across the wider school community

Requirements

  • We are seeking a passionate and committed teacher who meets the following criteria:
  • Holds UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Proven experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential)
  • Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to high-quality teaching and learning
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students
  • Available to start ASAP
  • Must have the Right to Work in the UK
