Quantum Scholars are currently recruiting experienced SEND Maths Tutors to deliver 1:1, in-person tuition for pupils receiving Alternative Provision (AP) / Education Otherwise Than at School (EOTAS) in Hillingdon.

Working as part of Hillingdon Council's alternative provision network, you will support pupils who are outside of mainstream education. Many learners have additional needs such as SEND, ADHD, autism, SEMH, behavioural challenges, or medical conditions, and require consistent, personalised support to re-engage with learning - particularly in Maths. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a real difference, helping pupils build confidence, strengthen their numeracy skills, and progress in their education. Sessions are typically delivered in the pupil's home or a suitable community setting, with tutors responsible for planning and delivering tailored lessons and resources.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) desirable
  • Strong experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH, Autism, ADHD, or behavioural needs
  • Effective behaviour management skills
  • Patient, calm, and resilient approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Ability to travel across Hillingdon for in-person sessions

  • This is a strictly in-person role - remote tutoring is not available
