Quantum Scholars are currently working with a forward-thinking secondary school in Southampton, who are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to start ASAP. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4 in a supportive, well-resourced department with a collaborative and positive ethos.
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Maths lessons that motivate, challenge, and inspire students.
  • Plan, teach, and assess in line with the national curriculum and departmental policies.
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students, including those with SEN and EAL.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback and adapting teaching strategies as required.
  • Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour in line with the school's positive behaviour policy.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and departmental initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Maths department and across the wider school community.

Requirements:

  • Holds UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential).
  • Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • Available to start ASAP.
  • Must have the Right to Work in the UK.
