Quantum Scholars are currently working with a forward-thinking secondary school in Southampton, who are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to start ASAP. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Responsibilities:
- Teach Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4 in a supportive, well-resourced department with a collaborative and positive ethos.
- Deliver high-quality, engaging Maths lessons that motivate, challenge, and inspire students.
- Plan, teach, and assess in line with the national curriculum and departmental policies.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students, including those with SEN and EAL.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback and adapting teaching strategies as required.
- Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour in line with the school's positive behaviour policy.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and departmental initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Maths department and across the wider school community.
Requirements:
- Holds UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential).
- Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to high-quality teaching and learning.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
- Available to start ASAP.
- Must have the Right to Work in the UK.
