Quantum Scholars is currently recruiting experienced SEN tutors to provide 1:1, in-person tuition for primary and secondary-aged pupils receiving Education Otherwise Than at School (EOTAS) provision across Hillingdon. We're currently receiving regular referrals from the council for tuition running across five days a week, typically around 2-3 hours per day.
As a trusted provider within Hillingdon Council's alternative provision network, we support pupils who are not currently in mainstream education. Many of the students we work with have additional needs, including SEND, ADHD, autism, SEMH, behavioural challenges, or medical conditions. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to work closely with individual pupils, delivering tailored lessons that build confidence, strengthen core academic skills, and support their transition back into education. Tuition sessions typically take place in the pupil's home or in a suitable community setting. Tutors are responsible for planning and delivering lessons that meet each learner's specific needs.
Role Overview- Provide 1:1 tuition to primary and secondary-aged pupils outside of mainstream education.
- Flexible, part-time hours to suit your availability.
- Sessions take place during school hours, so availability within this timeframe is essential.
- Opportunity to make a meaningful difference in pupils' lives.
- Proven experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH, autism, ADHD, or behavioural needs.
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships.
- Calm, patient, and resilient approach.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the UK - no sponsorship is available.
- Ability to travel to Hillingdon for in-person sessions.
Please note: Unfortunately, we are unable to offer Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Applications requiring sponsorship will not be considered. This is a great opportunity for tutors who are passionate about making a difference, while enjoying the flexibility and meaningful impact of delivering 1:1 tuition. If this role sounds of interest, please apply today and a member of our team will be in touch.
