Quantum Scholars are currently recruiting experienced Primary and Secondary Tutors to deliver 1:1, in-person tuition for pupils receiving Education Otherwise Than at School (EOTAS) provision across the London Borough of Hillingdon. Areas include Hayes, Uxbridge, Ruislip, Northwood, Ickenham, West Drayton, and surrounding locations.
As a trusted provider within Hillingdon Council's alternative provision network, we support pupils who are not currently accessing mainstream education. Many of the learners we work with have additional needs, including SEND, ADHD, autism, SEMH needs, school refusal, behavioural challenges, or medical conditions. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with individual pupils, delivering tailored 1:1 sessions that help build confidence, develop core academic skills, and support each learner's educational journey.
We are currently receiving a steady flow of referrals from the council, with tuition taking place across five days per week, typically for 2-3 hours per day. We are particularly keen to hear from tutors who are available Monday to Friday and able to commit to daytime tuition sessions.
Role Overview- Deliver personalised 1:1 tuition to primary or secondary-aged pupils outside of mainstream education
- Flexible, part-time hours to fit around your availability
- Sessions take place during school hours (between 9am and 3pm), therefore daytime availability is essential
- Opportunity to make a genuine and lasting impact on pupils' academic progress and wellbeing
- Tuition sessions typically take place in the pupil's home or within a suitable community setting, with tutors planning and adapting lessons to suit each pupil's individual needs and abilities.
- Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH, autism, ADHD, behavioural needs, or other additional needs
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships
- A calm, patient, and resilient approach to tutoring
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK (please note that sponsorship is not available)
- Ability to travel within Hillingdon for in-person tuition sessions
Please note: Unfortunately, we are unable to offer Skilled Worker visa sponsorship, and applications requiring sponsorship will not be considered.
This is an excellent opportunity for tutors who are passionate about making a difference while benefiting from flexible working and the chance to provide impactful, one-to-one support. If this opportunity sounds of interest, we would love to hear from you. Apply today and a member of our team will be in touch.
