We are working alongside a vibrant secondary school in Berkshire who are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated French and Spanish Teacher to join them in January 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled teacher to make a significant impact on our students’ language learning journey. Ideally the candidate will have a specialism in French and Spanish. This role will last for 12 months and part/full times roles can be discussed. Key Responsibilities: Plan and Deliver High-Quality Lessons: Teach engaging and dynamic French and/or Spanish lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, catering to varying levels of ability. Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development of the MFL curriculum, including creating innovative resources and schemes of work that enhance student engagement and achievement. Monitor and Assess Student Progress: Use formative and summative assessments to track student progress, provide constructive feedback, and implement effective strategies to support individual learning needs. Support Extracurricular Activities: Lead or assist in extracurricular clubs, language exchanges, or cultural trips to enhance students’ exposure to the language and culture outside the classroom. Collaboration and Professional Development: Work closely with the MFL department and participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best teaching practices. Promote a Positive Learning Environment: Establish and maintain a safe, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for learning languages. Requirements: Must be a qualified teacher. Experience: Demonstrable experience teaching French and/or Spanish at the secondary school level (experience with GCSEs is preferred). Strong Communication Skills: Ability to build rapport with students and effectively communicate complex language concepts. Passion for Languages and Culture: Enthusiasm for promoting language learning and cultural awareness among students.
