Quantum Scholars is seeking a qualified and experienced Primary Teacher to provide one-to-one tuition and support for a young primary-aged pupil with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This rewarding role involves working with a non-verbal child with complex needs, delivering personalised learning in a supportive, nurturing environment. We are looking for someone who is patient, adaptable, and passionate about helping children reach their full potential.
The Role
- Deliver 1:1 tailored tuition to a primary-aged pupil with SEND.
- Home-based tuition.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the child’s individual learning needs.
- Create engaging, personalised learning activities.
- Build a positive and supportive relationship with the pupil and their family.
- These sessions will be from Monday - Friday during school hours only!
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or extensive experience teaching or tutoring primary-aged pupils.
- Previous experience working with children with SEND and/or SEMH needs is essential.
- Experience supporting non-verbal children and pupils with complex needs is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, patience, and adaptability.
- Ability to travel within the Wokingham area is highly advantageous.
