A well-established British international school in Egypt is seeking an outstanding Head of Secondary to join its leadership team from August 2026. The school offers a supportive, collaborative working environment and is committed to the ongoing professional development of its staff. This role presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced secondary middle leader to contribute strategically to school improvement while maintaining a strong focus on student outcomes and wellbeing.
The successful candidate will be a reflective, values-driven professional who builds positive relationships across the school community and brings a solutions-focused approach to leadership and learning. Ideally someone who has good experience in the pastoral side of education. This could be a life-changing experience for the right person.
Key Requirements- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A proven track record of outstanding teaching and learning
- Significant experience in a middle or senior leadership role (e.g. Phase Leader, Subject Leader)
- A recognised teaching qualification meeting home-country requirements (e.g. BEd, PGCE, GDE)
- The ability to build strong, positive relationships with students, staff and parents
- Experience working with highly aspirational and academically able students
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with both adults and young people
- A collaborative and professional approach to leadership
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- Secure knowledge of safeguarding, child protection and health & safety procedures
- Confident use of ICT for administration, record-keeping and teaching and learning
