Quantum Scholars are currently seeking qualified Maths Teachers (QTS) and experienced Maths Tutors to deliver 1-to-1 tuition across Torbay and the surrounding areas of Devon. This role supports secondary and primary aged pupils who are not currently accessing mainstream education. Tuition may take place on school sites or in off-site, community-based or non-educational settings. This opportunity is ideal for maths teachers and tutors seeking a flexible, part-time alternative to mainstream classroom teaching.

Role Overview

  • Deliver 1-to-1 maths tuition to secondary and primary aged pupils across Devon and surrounding areas
  • Tuition may be delivered on school sites or in off-site, non-educational settings
  • Work with pupils presenting a range of needs, including autism, behavioural challenges, SEMH, anxiety, or school refusal
  • Part-time role with flexible hours, dependent on pupil and placement requirements

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred, or substantial experience tutoring maths
  • Enhanced DBS (Update Service desirable)
  • Willingness and ability to travel locally across Devon
  • Experience working with pupils with autism, behavioural needs, SEMH, or alternative provision backgrounds is highly desirable
