Quantum Scholars are delighted to be working with an outstanding secondary school in Southampton, which is currently seeking a Business Studies Teacher to join its dynamic team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking and high-achieving school that is dedicated to academic excellence and personal development. The Business Studies department is well-resourced, and the subject is popular among students at both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The ideal candidate will already be in the UK, have significant UK teaching experience and will already be familiar with the UK curriculum. Sponsorship is also available for this role therefore overseas applications are also welcome.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that inspire and engage students, preparing them for GCSE examinations.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and innovative Business Studies lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Use a variety of teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles
- Plan, prepare, and assess work in line with school policies and curriculum expectations
- Monitor and report on student progress
- Contribute to the development of departmental resources and schemes of work
- Participate in departmental and whole-school CPD
- Support extra-curricular activities, such as enterprise clubs or business competitions
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent international teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Business Studies in a UK secondary school or in a comparable international curriculum
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for business education
- Effective classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction and support students of varying abilities
- A proactive, collaborative, and professional approach to teaching
- Must be available to start in September 2025
