Tutors Required (EOTAS - Barnstaple, North Devon)
Quantum Scholars are seeking qualified teachers (QTS) and experienced tutors to deliver 1-to-1 tuition across Barnstaple and the wider North Devon area. This work supports pupils who are not currently accessing mainstream education, with tuition delivered either on school sites or off-site in non-educational settings. This role is ideal for teachers looking for a flexible, part-time alternative to mainstream classroom teaching, while continuing to make a meaningful impact through individualised support.
Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Role Overview- 1-to-1 tutoring across Barnstaple and North Devon
- Delivery may take place on school sites or off-site in community or non-educational settings
- Pupils may present with a range of needs, including autism, behavioural challenges, SEMH, anxiety, or school refusal
- Part-time, flexible hours depending on pupil and placement needs
- Qualified Teacher Status preferred, or strong tutoring experience
- Enhanced DBS (Update Service desirable)
- Ability to travel locally within Barnstaple / North Devon
- Experience working with pupils with autism, behavioural needs, SEMH, or alternative provision backgrounds is highly desirable
- Calm, adaptable, and relationship-focused teaching approach
