Quantum Scholars is currently seeking experienced Primary and Secondary SEND Tutors to provide personalised 1:1 tuition within home and off-site settings for young pupils accessing alternative provision across Wokingham and the surrounding Berkshire areas. This role involves supporting primary and secondary-aged pupils who are currently outside of mainstream education. Many of the learners we support have additional needs including SEND, Autism, ADHD, SEMH, behavioural challenges, school refusal, or medical conditions. It is a highly rewarding opportunity to work closely with individual pupils, delivering tailored sessions that help build confidence, strengthen core academic skills, and support positive re-engagement with education.

Role Overview

  • Deliver 1:1 tuition to primary and secondary-aged pupils outside mainstream education
  • Flexible, part-time opportunities
  • Sessions take place during school hours, therefore daytime availability is essential!
  • Opportunities available across Wokingham and surrounding Berkshire areas
  • Make a meaningful impact on pupils’ academic progress, confidence, and wellbeing
  • Tuition sessions typically take place in the pupil’s home or within an appropriate community setting, with tutors responsible for planning and adapting lessons to suit each learner’s individual needs.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) desirable
  • Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND, Autism, SEMH, ADHD, or behavioural needs
  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive, supportive relationships
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Full Right to Work in the UK
  • Experience delivering core subjects including English and Maths
  • Ability to travel across Wokingham and surrounding areas for in-person sessions.
  • Ideally, candidates should hold a degree in the subject area they are applying to tutor.
