Welder/Fabricator

Quantum Profile Systems Ltd is a manufacturing company based in Royton, Oldham. We are looking for the right person to join our busy Fabrication Team as a Welder/Fabricator.

Responsibilities:

• Fabricate bespoke aluminium profiles, creating curves and angles for installation on staircases in commercial and communal settings.
• Prepare material for production by measuring and marking out to specification.
• Cut, heat, and bend aluminium profiles to a template.
• Weld using TIG methods.
• Insert PVC tread material into profile channels.
• Safely use relevant machines, equipment, and tools, maintaining housekeeping standards.
• Assemble, pack, and identify profiles according to customer requirements.
• Inspect and check products to ensure quality and specification.
• Move and manage finished goods.
• Fault find and problem solve in all aspects of the fabrication process.
• Collaborate within the Fabrication Team and other work areas to assist process flow, delivering customer satisfaction and productivity improvements.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Experience (Desirable but not essential):

• TIG welding
• Experience in the fabrication of aluminium profiles.
• Assembly experience.
• Detailed manual work with metal.

Intrinsic Elements of the Role:

• High levels of moving and handling, including bending and stooping.
• High manual tasks, lifting products below 25kg.
• High levels of manual dexterity.
• High use of manual hand tools.
• Moderate use of safety equipment, including PPE.
• Standing for long durations during shifts.
• Low use of DSE equipment.

Apprenticeship and training are available for the right person.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship

Pay: £25,000.00-£28,500.00 per year
