The Role

Our Warehouse department manages all aspects of storage and stock management, as well as incoming and outgoing deliveries. We are looking to add a Warehouse Operative to this busy and fast paced team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Load and unload delivery vehicles, by hand or using a forklift truck.
  • Perform the “goods‑in” procedure upon receipt of medicinal products into the warehouse.
  • Perform all required product checks on incoming goods to assure product quality.
  • Identify Cold Chain products or controlled drugs upon receipt and store them appropriately.
  • Store products in their allocated locations according to their labelled storage conditions.
  • Store controlled drugs securely according to the schedule of the drug.
  • Perform regular stock checks and identify and report stock discrepancies.
  • Record daily temperature readings in the ambient warehouse and the cold storage units and inform management if the temperature reaches or is out with the action limits.
  • Clean the warehouse and perform pest control checks as per the cleaning schedule and ensure the Warehouse Cleaning Record is completed on a daily basis.
  • Report any cleanliness issues to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Perform the “goods out” procedure in response to customer orders ensuring that all required product checks are performed, and the correct documentation is enclosed.
  • Pick products as listed on the picking list, according to First Expired First Out principles and checking the condition, description, quantities and expiry date of products picked.
  • Pack products safely and securely ensuring Boxes and/or Pallets are labelled with storage and handling conditions, as appropriate.
  • Deliver customer orders and collect stock from suppliers whilst ensuring that products are handled and stored according to GDP during transport.
  • Identify any deviations from approved procedures and inform management.
  • Complete any Corrective Actions or Preventative Actions (CAPA) assigned to you within the specified timeframe.
  • Completing and correcting GDP documents as per procedure to maintain data integrity.
  • Other ad hoc duties as required.

Skills and Attributes Required

  • The ability to work methodically, quickly, accurately and safely.
  • The ability to work as part of a team but also on your own initiative.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • IT Literate.
  • Full driving licence (desirable).
  • Forklift licence (desirable).
  • Experience working in a regulated environment (desirable).

Hours of Work

Mon‑Thurs: 10.00 - 19.00, Fri 09:30 - 18.30. This role is not eligible for sponsorship.
