Our IT department assists the wider office with technical queries and building systems and platforms required for the successful maintenance and evolution of the business. We are looking to add a Graduate IT Desktop Support Engineer to this busy team.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in providing a first point of contact for colleagues through our helpdesk ticketing system, Freshservice.
  • Providing technical assistance to users with desktop/laptop-related issues, including hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Providing colleagues with general remote support & troubleshooting.
  • Daily review, processing and resolution help desk tickets and service requests.
  • Ensure that documentation of procedures, guides is well maintained and updated when required for desktop support and security procedures.
  • Performing routine maintenance on desktop systems, including software updates and patching.
  • Ensuring that users adhere to security policies and procedures & that devices are compliant.
  • Assisting with our remote monitoring dashboard and applying remediation actions as indicated by our processes, other team members, or as required.
  • Reviewing scheduled tasks, backup testing and other automated actions as indicated by processes and other team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • An understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide services.
  • Strong desire and commitment to continued learning and personal development.
  • Be self-motivated to develop a strong understanding of operating systems, business applications, printing systems and network systems.
  • Have a supportive nature and good team-playing mentality.
  • Be capable of working towards KPIs.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Able to work in a fast paced and in a high-pressured environment.
