As an Senior Quantum Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development and execution of experiments focused on silicon-based quantum systems.
- Designing, configuring, and executing experiments on multi-qubit silicon devices, with an emphasis on high-frequency, low-noise signal acquisition.
- Supporting the architectural design of scalable quantum computing systems built on silicon platforms.
- Assisting in the commissioning and optimisation of cryogenic infrastructure, including dilution refrigerator setups, for quantum device testing.
- Writing and maintaining software tools for measurement automation and data analysis.
- Performing rigorous analysis of experimental results to support internal decision-making and technical manuscripts.
Experience - Essentials
- PhD degree in physics, engineering or related field.
- Proven record of experience in characterisation of nanoelectronic devices.
- Proficiency with Python.
- Expertise in radiofrequency or microwave electronics.
- Ability to independently design and carry out complex experiments; perform data analysis and prepare technical reports and presentations.
- Strong collaborative approach with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- An inquisitive nature and logical approach to problem solving.
Experience - Desirable
- Experimental experience with semiconductor quantum dots.
- Experience in development of software interfaces to hardware/instrumentation.
