We are hiring for the Senior Associate Treasury department for an International Bank. This is a Permanent position based in Harrow.
Job Role: To assist with the administrative functions of the back office operations of Treasury and Settlement Department of Bank, ensuring the timely and efficient completion of day's work in compliance with the stipulated guidelines instituted by the Bank.
Job Responsibility:
- Outsourced Treasury and Investment activities of Bank, ensuring FX/MM, Position keeping of Nostros and Investment portfolio managed in timely manner as per instructions.
- To ensure that Direct Reports are well trained and provided with the necessary coaching, tools and counselling, enabling them to meet performance expectations and optimise department output.
- Keeping control over all operations by regular training, proactive measures, Ongoing Bowtie and RCSA.
- Responsible for the timely preparation, discussion and submission of Staff Performance Appraisals to HR department, ensuring that all performance concerns are promptly addressed (with guidance from the HR department where necessary), and that appropriate action is taken and documented accordingly.
- Responsible for the daily checking and approval of staff leave.
- Responsible for the verification of Rates input under Finacle and Core.
- Responsible for verification of the Currency positions in various Nostro accounts (throughout the day) for final advice to Dealers.
- Responsible for overlooking of the Foreign Exchange & Money Market deals of the day, overlooking work done by CGBO Kolkata and position of the Branches' borrowings and placements, investigating reasons for variances and taking the appropriate action.
- Responsible for back office functions relating buy/sale of investment/coupon payments and overall investment position.
- Responsible for overlooking Bilateral and Corporate borrowings and processing of interest/coupon at regular interval.
- Responsible for overlooking day's work, daily payments and addressing any relating issues and queries accordingly.
- Responsible for the verification of the following reports prior submission to management: Weekly and monthly valuation reports for Investment portfolio, Monthly SCTAP/Investments Derivatives/Bonds/Futures, Schedule 8 monthly and quarterly, MIFID daily and monthly reporting.
- Responsible for liaising with the Auditors (Internal, External, RBI, Special Treasury Audit), and respond to all Audit Enquiries and effect changes as required.
- Responsible for addressing department issues/concerns and escalate to management, and where necessary submit requests for approval to pay i.e. approval for brokerage and other miscellaneous payments.
- Responsible for the verification of the following reports prior submission to management &/or IBG: Investment portfolio, Monthly SCTAP/Investments Derivatives/HTM Bonds, Market valuation and Schedule 8 monthly and quarterly.
