QD Oxford is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to join our team and contribute to the delivery of truly world-changing products. We offer a diverse portfolio of projects that will challenge, engage, and develop your skills.
The Opportunity
In conjunction with the Head of Supply Chain and Inventory, you will work with and coordinate the team in securing material availability in line with business requirements and to lead the tactical day to day procurement of material requirements in support of business needs and forecast requirements. You will be responsible for using the ERP system to action system messages, raise purchase orders, and ensure data accuracy to support effective planning and costing.
As the Senior Buyer you will also develop ideas to improve operational efficiency, provide guidance and coaching to other members of the supply chain team, as well as developing excellent supplier relationships.
About You
Your previous experience and knowledge will be critical to your success in this role. You will have worked as a Senior Buyer, ideally within a manufacturing environment, with exposure to engineering drawings. You will be confident in contract management, negotiations, and developing strong supplier relationships that deliver value to QD Oxford. You will thrive in a supportive and collaborative team environment and demonstrate a proactive approach, a willingness to learn, and strong attention to detail.
