We are exclusively supporting an Oxford-based quantum technology company developing hardware used to generate secure randomness for next-generation cybersecurity systems. They are looking to add an FPGA Engineer to their engineering team to support the development of high-performance hardware platforms used across data centres, communications networks, and advanced computing applications.

This role sits at the intersection of digital design, signal processing, and high-performance hardware systems. You'll work within a multidisciplinary team translating system requirements into practical FPGA architectures, contributing across the full development lifecycle from early prototypes through to production-ready implementations.

The role will involve RTL development, building communication interfaces, creating simulation environments, and supporting system-level validation alongside hardware and software engineers.

They are looking for an FPGA Engineer with the following background:

  • Degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
  • RTL development experience using VHDL or Verilog
  • Experience implementing digital systems on modern FPGA or SoC platforms
  • Understanding of digital design fundamentals including synthesis and timing closure
  • Experience with simulation tools such as ModelSim or QuestaSim
  • Familiarity with debugging tools such as logic analysers or JTAG systems
