We are seeking a Care Assistant to join our welcoming team at Melwood Grange Care Home in Royston. A luxury, 73 bed purpose‑built care home set in the Hertfordshire countryside, Melwood Grange offers exceptional care in stylish surroundings, with premium facilities including a cinema, café, hair and beauty salon, and beautifully landscaped gardens.
As a Care Assistant, you will provide compassionate person‑centered care and support residents with respect and dignity to maintain independence.
What You’ll Bring
It is not necessary to have previous experience of working in a similar care environment because, as long as you are an empathetic individual who has a positive attitude and good communication skills, our first‑class training will do the rest. You will be able to undertake all aspects of caring for older people with compassion and respect in order to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of our residents. Our staff have access to first class induction training and ongoing learning and development opportunities including the opportunity to work towards industry recognised qualifications. Our Homes operate on a 24/7, 365‑day basis therefore you will need to be able to work shifts (including weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays). You must be aged 18 years or over to apply for this job.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Providing personal care and support, including assistance with washing, dressing, grooming and toileting, as well as assisting with meals, hydration and nutritional care.
- Assisting residents with daily activities promoting independence.
- Building positive and professional relationships with residents, families and colleagues.
- Follow individual personalised care plans.
- Working as a part of a team to deliver high quality of person‑centered care.
