Housekeeping Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Housekeeping Manager to manage a range of housekeeping duties as part of a care team which is designed to provide a homely and caring atmosphere where the customers’ quality of life is maximised.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the housekeeping operation in the home including supervising the team of housekeepers to ensure our home provides a warm and inviting atmosphere.
• Work as part of an integrated care team, helping create a caring environment where residents’ dignity is never compromised and their independence is encouraged.
• Ensure compliance with COSHH Regulations and maintain company COSHH manuals.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the home, in accordance with the guidelines on the use of cleaning materials and equipment.
• Organise and participate in staff meetings, training and development, and staff reviews.
• Manage the housekeeping budget and produce bi-monthly stock takes; agree action to be taken in the event of an overspend.
• Supervise and/or undertake basic housekeeping tasks throughout the home, including laundry, monitoring all areas to ensure they are kept in a hygienic condition.
• Previous relevant experience together with excellent multitasking and communication skills, are essential.
