Full Time – 30 hours per week. Quantum Care is a not-for-profit organisation delivering high-quality care services to over 2,000 older adults across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Essex. We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team, providing compassionate support that upholds dignity and enriches the daily lives of our residents within our Homes.

Role Overview

As a Maintenance Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out a variety of routine building repairs to maintain and enhance the Care Home’s fabric.
  • Performing day-to-day maintenance tasks, including minor decoration, to ensure a safe, comfortable and homely environment for residents.
  • Prioritising the health, safety and wellbeing of residents, their families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Painting and decorating.
  • Conducting minor repairs.
  • Replacing light bulbs and other fixtures.
  • Hanging pictures and fittings.
  • Repairing or replacing door furniture.
  • Installing shelves and TV brackets.
  • Replacing stained or damaged ceiling tiles.
  • Carrying out routine inspections of the Home and reporting maintenance needs to the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Cleaning outdoor areas such as footpaths, waste and parking zones, including snow and ice clearance.
  • Assisting with moving furniture, including tables and hospital beds.
  • Undertaking additional duties, as required, to support the smooth operation of the Home, as directed by the Home Manager or Housekeeping Manager.
