Quantum Care is a not-for-profit organisation delivering high-quality care services to over 2,000 older adults across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Essex. We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team, providing compassionate support that upholds dignity and enriches the daily lives of our residents within our Homes.
Role Overview
- To undertake the activities of the prevailing Quality and Compliance Framework to ensure our services at all times meet with the requirements of, and where possible exceeds, the current regulations set out by the Care Quality Commission and Local Authority Contract standards.
- To contribute and lead on quality and compliance initiatives as directed to support good practice and enhance the experience of people that use our services.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete agreed and assigned quality and compliance checks within our care homes using the prevailing Quality and Compliance Framework.
- Provide support and advice to home management teams in regards to best practice and developing excellence to continually improve standards in the Homes as directed.
- Be the main point of contact for our managers for all CQC/LA quality monitoring related support.
- Support Home Managers to prepare for CQC inspections and LA monitoring visits as required. Provide guidance and coaching for new managers to appropriately manage visits from CQC or LA visits.
- To keep up to date with research and changes in relevant legislation, guidance, regulation or practice standards (older people) to ensure a thorough and detailed understanding.
- Participate or lead on projects as directed related to quality or service development initiatives with key partners and stakeholders to deliver expected outcomes.
What we are looking for
- Detailed knowledge of the current Health & Social Care Act and associated regulations.
- Detailed understanding of the prevailing CQC and LA judgement frameworks.
- Knowledge of legislation and policy relating to the care of older people.
- Excellent interpersonal, people and presentation skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with a range of stakeholders.
- Ability to interact effectively and ability to build relationships with internal and external customers and stakeholders.
- Ability to travel to all care homes within the portfolio.
Qualification
- Hold a relevant professional and recognised qualification in home management (e.g. NVQ level 4 or equivalent).
