Quantum Care is a not for profit company providing high quality care services for over 2000 older people in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Essex. We need the right people to join us and provide the best possible care to our residents, offering support, maintaining dignity and assisting them to enjoy every day living in our Homes.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a passionate and organized Chef Manager to lead our kitchen team and deliver comforting, nutritious meals to our residents. This is a hands‑on leadership role where your culinary expertise and operational skills will make a meaningful impact every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meal Preparation: Create homely, well-balanced meals tailored to a variety of dietary needs and preferences.
  • Team Scheduling: Plan staff rotas to ensure smooth kitchen operations and arrange cover for absences using existing and casual staff.
  • Catering Operations: Oversee all aspects of the catering service, ensuring it is safe, cost-effective, and of high quality.
  • Training Compliance: Ensure all kitchen staff complete required statutory training.
  • Stock Management: Conduct regular stock takes and maintain inventory at agreed minimum levels.
  • Customer Engagement: Communicate regularly with residents and staff to gather feedback and foster a welcoming dining experience.
  • Budget Oversight: Manage the catering budget and produce monthly financial reports to track performance.
