We are seeking a Care Assistant to join our welcoming team at Providence Court Care Home in Baldock. A 61 bed charming historic market town with excellent local amenities, transport links and a strong community feel, offering residents the perfect blend of convenience and countryside living. As a Care Assistant, you will provide compassionate person-cantered care and support residents with respect and dignity to maintain independence.

What You’ll Bring

  • It is not necessary to have previous experience of working in a similar care environment because, as long as you are an empathetic individual who has a positive attitude and good communication skills, our first-class training will do the rest.
  • You will be able to undertake all aspects of caring for older people with compassion and respect in order to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of our residents.
  • Our staff have access to first class induction training and ongoing learning and development opportunities including the opportunity to work towards industry recognised qualifications.
  • Our Homes operate on a 24/7, 365-day basis therefore you will need to be able to work shifts (including weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays).
  • You must be aged 18 years or over to apply for this job.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Providing personal care and support, including assistance with washing, dressing, grooming and toileting, as well as assisting with meals, hydration and nutritional care.
  • Assisting residents with daily activities promoting independence
  • Building positive and professional relationships with residents, families and colleagues
  • Follow individual personalised care plans
  • Working as a part of a team to deliver high quality of person- centred care
