Contract: Full Time - Perm

Hour: 30 hours per week

Pay: £12.96 per hour weekdays & £13.96 per hour weekends

Shift Times: 7.30am to 2.30pm / 2.30pm to 9.30pm – Weekdays and alternative Weekends

We are seeking an Activity Care Assistant to join our ‘Outstanding’ rated dementia specialist Care Home Belmont View in Hoddesdon. Belmont View is an award winning 85 bed residential home with beautiful maintained gardens, excellent facilities and exceptional quality care from a dedicated team committed to enriching resident’s lives.

As an Activity Care Assistant, you will provide compassionate person-centred care and support residents with respect and dignity to maintain independence.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in a similar role is preferred. We provide full, high quality training and ongoing support.
  • You will be able to undertake all aspects of caring for older people with compassion and respect in order to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of our residents.
  • Our staff have access to first class induction training and ongoing learning and development opportunities including the opportunity to work towards industry recognised qualifications.
  • Our Homes operate on a 24/7, 365-day basis therefore you will need to be able to work shifts (including weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays).
  • You must be aged 18 years or over to apply for this job.
  • Must have good computer skills and organisational skills.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Plan, organise and deliver a variety of engaging activities and social events for residents.
  • Utilise the resources and computer to plan and inform families on resident activities.
  • Play a key role within our care team by delivering a lively, diverse programme of activities designed to stimulate, entertain and uplift our residents.
  • Use your communication skills, creativity and warm personality to build meaningful connections and create moments that truly enrich residents’ lives.
  • Bring enthusiasm, compassion and a positive energy to every day, helping to create a joyful and supportive atmosphere throughout the home.
  • Use your IT skills to produce newsletters for residents and the home, send email updates to relatives about activities and resident progress, and keep our social media pages updated and engaging.
