Quantum Care is a not for profit company providing high quality care services for over 2000 older people in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Essex. We need the right people to join us and provide the best possible care to our residents, offering support, maintaining dignity and assisting them to enjoy every day living in our Homes.

Part Time - 20 Hours Per Week, Monday to Friday.

As a Maintenance Coordinator, your purposes will be:

  • To provide a range of day-to-day general basic building repairs to enhance the fabric of the Care Home.
  • To undertake a range of basic day to day repairs and maintenance tasks including minor decoration to ensure the Care Home provides a safe and homely environment for the residents.
  • Ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of those who may be affected by the work undertaken including residents, their relatives and staff.

Examples include:

  • Painting and decorating
  • Minor repairs
  • Changing light bulbs
  • Hanging pictures
  • Repairing or replacing door furniture
  • Putting up shelves and TV brackets
  • Changing stained or damaged ceiling tiles
  • Undertake routine inspections of the Home, reporting issues to the Housekeeper Manager that would benefit from care and maintenance.
  • Clean outdoor areas such as footpaths, waste or parking areas including snow and ice control.
  • Help to move furniture such as tables, hospital beds etc.
  • Any other duties, depending on skills or competency, to enable the efficient running of the Home, as requested by the Home Manager or Housekeeping Manager.
