Hours: 37 hours per week. Salary: £33,000 to £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience plus £5,500 car allowance. Location: Head Office, Welwyn Garden City and regular travel across all our sites.

Role
We’re seeking a passionate, people‑focused 2nd Line Support Engineer who thrives on delivering outstanding customer service. You’ll be supporting colleagues with a wide range of technical abilities, so patience, empathy and clear communication are essential. If you enjoy solving problems, building relationships, and making a real difference, you’ll fit right in. You’ll also have the chance to get involved in project work, contributing directly to Quantum’s ongoing digital development and future growth.
Technical Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve 2nd line incidents across Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory and networking
- Manage user accounts, permissions and group policies
- Support hardware including laptops, desktops, printers and mobile devices
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues (Wi‑Fi, VPN, switches, routers)
- Use remote support tools to resolve issues efficiently
- Assist with IT projects, upgrades and system improvements
- Provide on‑site support across multiple locations (full driving licence and own vehicle required)
- Previous experience in this role is essential
