About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Delivery Manager to support delivery across our product team that includes mobile engineers (iOS & Android), cloud engineers, machine learning specialists, mathematicians, physicists and a designer. You will support delivery as a servant leader across multiple concurrent workstreams and help elevate delivery skills across the organisation.
You will be responsible for all aspects of delivery. This will include some elements of product ownership (we donβt have a Product Owner currently) including crafting and prioritising the backlog.
While we use agile methodologies in our engineering teams (scrum, kanban) we also use more time and milestone based waterfall delivery approaches for our client projects and scientific R&D. This combination of approaches provides a unique challenge and the ideal candidate will be able to help us implement the best approaches for each project.
Key experience
- 5+ years delivering software in an agile environment, including overseeing multiple teams or workstreams at once.
- Experience developing and delivering digital products
- Experience with non-agile delivery methods, such as waterfall or open ended R&D or innovation.
- Experience mentoring or coaching teams on delivery best practices in teams that are new to it
- Experience working in a startup like environment where processes are still being established and a self starter mentality is required.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience managing expectations and ensuring alignment between business goals and team delivery.
- Strong focus on continuous improvement

- Experience in a product role (product owner, product manager)
- A background in science or technology
