Main Purpose of Job:
To support and maintain existing computer systems, software and infrastructure to be used by internal staff and clients.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Respond to enquiries by users or other members of the IT team and address promptly a broad range of problems.
- Provide day‑to‑day maintenance of the IT servers and related IT software.
- Prepare documentation of supported systems and software as required. Ensure all documentation is complete, relevant, kept up to date and centrally recorded for IT team members to access.
- Manage IT problems raised in accordance with agreed standards and procedures.
- Manage the firm’s IT assets ensuring accurate documentation, inventory, labelling and disposal.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues affecting the firm’s IT infrastructure, including:
- Printers
- Telephone System
- PCs
- Servers
- Complete all aspects of project‑based work to the specified standard and timescales, including but not limited to:
- Planning
- Designing
- Implementation
- Support
- Evaluation
- Monitor, maintain and diagnose issues affecting the firm’s backup solutions.
