Our client, a large Property Maintenance/FM business, has an exciting new opportunity due to continued growth for an experienced National Account Manager to join their team. As one of their National Account Managers, you will be responsible for delivering revenue growth, retention, and customer value across assigned accounts through strong relationship management and disciplined execution of commercial plans. You will own day-to-day client relationships, driving account development, cross-sell, and long-term engagement. Execute sales and client engagement strategies in alignment with group objectives, ensuring consistent messaging, high-quality pipeline management, and accurate forecasting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Revenue Delivery Account Growth: Accountable for delivering revenue targets and organic growth across assigned accounts, driving account expansion, product penetration, and development across all service lines and divisions.
  • Client Relationship Management: Builds and maintains strong long-term client relationships across national and key accounts, executing client engagement plans to support retention, renewals, and growth while maintaining high standards of customer service and responsiveness.
  • Pipeline Development, Management Forecasting: Proactively builds and develops a high-quality pipeline of opportunities, ensuring strong opportunity progression, conversion, accurate forecasting, and clear forward revenue visibility, with all activity tracked and maintained to group standards.
  • Account Knowledge Development: Develops deep knowledge of assigned accounts, including key stakeholders, national and key relationships, and opportunities, to drive relationship-led growth and commercial objectives.
  • Cross-Sell Opportunity Development: Owns and drives cross-sell, up-sell, and product penetration across divisions and service lines within assigned accounts, maximising customer value and share of wallet. Identifies and develops opportunities within existing client networks and, where appropriate, generates and passes qualified leads to BDMs for new business development.
  • Execution of Commercial Plans: Executes commercial strategies, engagement plans, and sales initiatives set by the Director of Commercial Strategy Marketing and Group Relationship Director, ensuring disciplined and consistent delivery.
  • Customer Service Account Ownership: Owns the end-to-end customer experience across assigned accounts, ensuring high levels of service, responsiveness, and issue resolution in coordination with internal teams.
  • Sales Process CRM Discipline: Ensures high-quality, up-to-date CRM data and full compliance with sales processes, systems, and standard operating procedures.
  • Performance, Targets Accountability: Accountable for delivering individual revenue targets, KPIs, and activity levels.
  • Sales Messaging Collateral Compliance: Ensures consistent use of group messaging, sales materials, propositions, and marketing collateral across all client interactions, in line with their sales playbook and campaign themes, maintaining a unified and professional approach across the department.
  • Collaboration Team Working: Works collaboratively with RAMs, BDMs, and internal teams to maximise client value, coordinate activity, and deliver consistent commercial outcomes.
  • Commercial Insight Feedback: Provides insight on client needs, market trends, and opportunities to inform commercial strategy, service development, and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have relevant B2B account management experience and come from the same industry. The role is paying up to £42,000 pa + a car allowance of circa £4,200. There is a generous commission scheme in place with the OTE being £60-80k. The role will require regular visits to clients across the UK and is described as home-working/hybrid with travel to meetings across the UK as required.
