Our client is a London based specialist subsea oil and gas engineering procurement and construction contractor. They have a requirement for an Offshore Construction Manager (OCM) to work on a new vessel. The incumbent will be responsible for all non-marine operations carried out from the vessel in support of project operations and tasks. This will be the senior client representative on board the vessel and is in overall control of the works, and responsible for the effective management and safe and efficient execution of the offshore project activities in accordance with statutory and company rules, regulations and objectives.
Required Experience and Education:
- Relevant qualification to Degree level or in absence of degree in depth industry experience within this field.
- Experience of implementation of emergency response procedures and drills.
- Knowledge and experience of implementation of Quality and Safety Management Systems.
- IMCA C001 (or equivalent) recognised qualification reflective of a career working offshore in the offshore engineering/construction industry.
- Safety leadership training or equivalent.
- Current/valid offshore medical suitable for the geographical area of work.
- Current/valid offshore survival course suitable for geographical area of work.
- Introductory DP Course would be advantageous.
This position will be based on a vessel that is currently operating in the Gulf of Mexico, with a 5 week on 5 week off rotation, working 180 days per annum, with a salary of c£125,000 to £150,000 per annum plus benefits package.
