About the Role
Quantifi is seeking an experienced Controller to lead our global accounting, reporting, controls, and compliance as the business scales and to bring strong FP&A capability, owning budgeting, forecasting, and the analysis that supports executive decision-making. The ideal candidate is a hands-on Controller who runs both the close and the plan, with strong accounting fundamentals and proven FP&A experience in a global software or financial technology company.
Responsibilities
Accounting & financial reporting
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close.
- Maintain the general ledger and produce consolidated statements across the UK, US, and Australia entities, including FX translation and intercompany eliminations.
- EnsureaccurateIFRS/UKGAAPstatutoryreporting(andUSGAAPfortheUSentity).
- ApplyrevenuerecognitionunderIFRS15/ASC606forlicenseandsubscriptionrevenue.
- Developandmaintainaccountingpolicies,procedures,andinternalcontrols.
Financial planning & analysis
- Leadannualbudgetingandquarterlyforecasting.
- Buildoperatingmodels,forecasts,andscenarioanalysestosupportexecutivedecisions.
- Partner with department leaders on headcount, expense, and resource planning.
- Deliver management reporting and KPI analysis; improve visibility into revenue, margin, operating leverage, and cash flow.
Controls, compliance & audit
- Strengthenandcontinuouslyimproveinternalcontrolsystemsandaccountingoperations.
- Coordinateannualfinancialstatementauditsandtaxaudits.
- MaintaincomplianceacrossUK(HMRC,CompaniesHouse)andinternationalrequirements.
- Supportlegal-entitymanagementandcorporaterecords.
Tax & FX
- Oversee preparation and filing of corporate, payroll, VAT / sales & use, and other regulatory returns across jurisdictions.
- Manage transfer pricing and intercompany arrangements; FX rate management and currency exposure.
- Managerelationshipswithexternalauditors,taxadvisors,andbankingpartners.
Cash flow & treasury
- Monitorcashflowandworkingcapital;supporttreasuryandbankingrelationships.
- Improvethefinancialoperatingcadenceandreportingdiscipline.
Systems & process improvement
- Ownorco-ownthefinance-systemimplementation;reduceExceldependencyinreporting.
- Buildrepeatable,scalableprocessesthatsupportgrowthwithoutunnecessarycomplexity.
Qualifications
- Qualifiedaccountant:ACA,ACCA,orCIMA(USCPAaplus).
- 10+yearsofprogressiveaccountingandfinanceexperience,withacontrollershipcore.
- ProvenFP&Aexperience:budgeting,forecasting,andfinancialmodeling.
- StrongknowledgeofIFRS/UKGAAPandfinancialreporting;multinationalconsolidationsandFX.
- Experienceinsoftware,SaaS,fintech,orfinancialservicesenvironmentsstronglypreferred.
- Revenuerecognitionexperience(IFRS15/ASC606).
- Stronganalyticalandmodelingskills;closepartnershipwithleadership.
- Excellentcommunication,organizational,andcross-functionalskills.
- Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a growing organization.
