About the Role

Quantifi is seeking an experienced Controller to lead our global accounting, reporting, controls, and compliance as the business scales and to bring strong FP&A capability, owning budgeting, forecasting, and the analysis that supports executive decision-making.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Controller who runs both the close and the plan, with strong accounting fundamentals and proven FP&A experience in a global software or financial technology company.

Responsibilities

  • Accounting & financial reporting
  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close.
  • Maintain the general ledger and produce consolidated statements across the UK, US, and Australia entities, including FX translation and intercompany eliminations.
  • Ensure accurate IFRS / UK GAAP statutory reporting (and US GAAP for the US entity).
  • Apply revenue recognition under IFRS 15 / ASC 606 for license and subscription revenue.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Financial planning & analysis
  • Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting.
  • Build operating models, forecasts, and scenario analyses to support executive decisions.
  • Partner with department leaders on headcount, expense, and resource planning.
  • Deliver management reporting and KPI analysis; improve visibility into revenue, margin, operating leverage, and cash flow.
  • Controls, compliance & audit
  • Strengthen and continuously improve internal control systems and accounting operations.
  • Coordinate annual financial statement audits and tax audits.
  • Maintain compliance across UK (HMRC, Companies House) and international requirements.
  • Support legal-entity management and corporate records.
  • Tax & FX
  • Oversee preparation and filing of corporate, payroll, VAT / sales & use, and other regulatory returns across jurisdictions.
  • Manage transfer pricing and intercompany arrangements; FX rate management and currency exposure.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.
  • Cash flow & treasury
  • Monitor cash flow and working capital; support treasury and banking relationships.
  • Improve the financial operating cadence and reporting discipline.
  • Systems & process improvement
  • Own or co-own the finance-system implementation; reduce Excel dependency in reporting.
  • Build repeatable, scalable processes that support growth without unnecessary complexity.

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA (US CPA a plus).
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with a controllership core.
  • Proven FP&A experience: budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS / UK GAAP and financial reporting; multinational consolidations and FX.
  • Experience in software, Saa S, fintech, or financial services environments strongly preferred.
  • Revenue recognition experience (IFRS 15 / ASC 606).
  • Strong analytical and modeling skills; close partnership with leadership.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and cross-functional skills.
  • Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a growing organization.
