Quantifi is seeking a Head of Platform Engineering in London. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will be responsible for building and running a cloud native platform to support Quantifi's technology transformation. We are an established quantitative and risk technology vendor with clients spanning from hedge funds to regulated banks. We started out with a purely on-premise model, are currently primarily hosting instances of our risk platform on behalf of clients, and are moving to a cloud native SaaS model. You will build a globally distributed team to build and maintain our toolchain and cloud services to ensure that we can efficiently and securely support delivering SaaS services to our customers. This is an excellent opportunity to build a team and cloud and DevOps platform from scratch for an existing, successful FinTech company.
Responsibilities:
- Hiring and managing a team of Platform Engineers across our three primary locations (London, New York, and Sydney)
- Setting architectural standards and security policies for our use of public cloud services
- Developing a toolchain that allows our software engineers to productively and safely deliver risk solutions to our customers
- Engaging with clients, prospects, and auditors to establish the controls the platform provides over client data
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience working in cloud native platform engineering working with any of AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Experience working across an entire DevOps toolchain from develop to production support and monitoring
- Familiarity with complex multi-region topologies and resiliency models
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Ability to successfully hire and mentor staff
Nice to have:
- Experience supporting workloads in financial services or another regulated industry
- Experience with a follow-the-sun multi-site engineering model
